Facilitators work with students on self-advocacy and leadership skills. Parents, teachers, and students will learn how laws, policies, accommodations, and assistance differ after high school. Everyone will gain knowledge about how to make the transition from high school to higher education or to the world of work.
Deaf Extreme is a collaborative, statewide activity that involves many organizations and systems in Georgia. The statewide plan is for the following institutions to take turns hosting Deaf Extrme: Georgia Highlands College, Georgia Perimeter College, The University of Georgia, and Valdosta State University.
